This program will discuss the rules that affect individuals moving across borders, focusing on opportunities to reduce tax after residence is established by transactions completed prior to the residence starting date. The session also addresses U.S. tax rules that apply to U.S. persons who renounce citizenship and long-term residents holding green cards in more than seven out of fifteen years. Sophisticated estate planning strategies for the arriving individual will be covered.
