Ruchelman Is Hiring: Administrative Assistant
Our boutique international tax law firm in Manhattan is seeking a part-time administrative assistant to be the face of the company and provide high-quality administrative support to our attorneys and clients.
Preferred availability for Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Some flexibility is possible among two additional administrative assistants.
The position requires ability to be consistent and follow through on assignments, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn new skills.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with word processing, as well as preparing submission binders, scanning, and organizing folders on a cloud-based drive.
- Assist in the formatting and editing of publications
- Assist in the formatting and editing of power point presentations, including structure charts and tables
- Communicate professionally with clients and attorneys from other firms and other countries
- Operate a multiline telephone system, directing calls and taking messages as necessary
- Create and send shipments via. courier services and USPS
- Maintain office supply inventory and place orders as necessary
- Run errands as necessary, including making bank deposits, USPS visits, County Clerk etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills
- “Can do” approach and willingness to learn new things
- Ability to commit to a consistent schedule
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress)
- Previous experience in an administrative or law office setting
- Knowledge of other languages
Compensation
- $25/hour
- Benefits per company policy
