Daniela Shani is a U.S. tax lawyer with global experience. She advises clients on U.S. tax consequences of cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and group reorganizations.
Before joining the firm, Daniela served as a Senior Associate of the International Tax Services Team in the New York Office of a Big 4 accounting firm. There, she advised multinational corporations undergoing a restructure of operations. She conducted the technical analysis of tax attributes, prepared slide-deck presentations for tax management, and drafted disclosure statements for registration documents.
Prior to her move to the U.S., Daniela held several different roles in the Legal Department of the Israel Tax Authority, where she served for 10 years. She advised on both tax policy matters and potential litigations strategy. Matters often related to capital markets and the taxation of domestic and foreign investors. Topics included positions in crypto-currencies, taxation of partnership investment vehicles, contingent M&A consideration, capital reductions, and buyback transactions.
Daniela began her career as an associate at a leading law firm. She advised clients on various tax matters related to international transactions and investment in real-estate.
